4x4 Excursion
What does the excursion include?
This excursion requires a minimum of 6 people; groups are organized at the departure point, without prior reservation; the return ticket is only valid for the same day as the outbound journey.
We have 2 options for this excursion.
4x4 and Hiking Excursion
Option A: Combined
We depart from Espot by 4×4 to Ratera Lake (35 min.). Once there, you can stay as long as you wish. To return, we’ll hike down to Sant Maurici Lake (approx. 1 h) and head to the 4×4 pickup point, from where we’ll return to Espot.
Return times vary depending on the season. Check at the taxi stop or contact us by phone.

4x4 Excursion
Option B: Complete
We depart from Espot by 4×4 to Ratera Lake (approx. 35 min.). There we’ll make a 20-minute stop, return to the vehicle and descend to Sant Maurici Lake, where we’ll make the second and final 20-minute stop. After visiting Sant Maurici Lake, we’ll return to the village of Espot.
Total approximate duration of the excursion: 2 h.
What can we do?
- Following the 4x4 track, a 15-minute walk takes you to the Lake Viewpoint, where you'll enjoy a magnificent view of Sant Maurici Lake, the Encantats peaks and the Escrita Valley.
- From Ratera Lake, retracing the 4x4 route, you'll find the "waterfall" sign. This path leads to a waterfall about 8 m high and, continuing on, you'll reach Sant Maurici Lake. Going around it, you'll arrive at the 4x4 pickup point (total approx. 1 h 30 min.).
