4x4 Excursion
What does the excursion include?
Estany Negre is located at 2,400 meters altitude and gets its name from the great depth of its waters (100 m).
There are 3 options to reach Estany Negre
4x4 Excursion
Option A: Complete
The 4×4 will take us to Estany Negre (1-hour journey). During the ascent we’ll see the spectacular view of the core protection zone of the Estanys de Trescuro and, continuing upward, we’ll reach the Tort and Trullo lakes, next to the Josep Ma. Blanc refuge.
A 5-minute walk will take us to Estany Negre.
The 4×4 will stop for 1 hour and then we’ll return to the village of Espot.

4x4 and hiking excursion
Option B: Combined
The 4×4 will take us to Estany Negre (1-hour journey). We can stay there as long as we want. To return, we’ll walk down the same path we came up to the Lladres dam (1 hour 30 minutes from Estany Negre), where the 4×4 will pick us up at the agreed time to return to the village of Espot.

The 4×4 will take us and drop us off at Estany Negre (1-hour journey).

What can we do?
- Walk down to the village of Espot (3 hours 30 minutes). Following the 4x4 track to the Lladres dam, we'll find the trail (marked with a sign) that will take us to the village of Espot.
- We can do the traverse to Estany de Sant Maurici. We'll climb via Estany de la Coveta and Coll de Monestero (2,710 m) and descend to Sant Maurici (1,950 m) passing through the Monestero Valley. This traverse is high difficulty and takes about 5 hours.
- Peguera Peak (2,982 m) (approx. 2 hours one-way) / Saburó Peak (2,906 m) (approx. 2 hours one-way)
